新專輯《All The Lost Souls》中的首支主打歌《1973》日前已在各電台強打，
並引起樂迷廣泛的迴響與討論。
而這謎樣的歌名終於在日前揭密，
1974年出生的James Blunt，其實是以現在式緬懷七O年代的美好時光。
他受訪時某次他從伊比薩夜店狂歡返家後已是清晨，
這時旋律自然在他腦海中成形，他便坐在鋼琴前譜下這首歌，
James Blunt表示：
「這首歌的主題是在夜店共度的歡樂時光，
那種懷舊的感覺，你想回到那樣的過去，卻無能為力，
但那依舊是一段美好的時光，回想時感覺依舊甜蜜。」
